Residents of Rise at Northgate in College Station, Texas have the home field advantage with the Texas A&M Aggies and Kyle Stadium. The team's recent win on October 6, 2018, has spurred the fans and gave the sports world something to talk about! If you have never visited Kyle Stadium; here is some of what you have been missing near our apartments in College Station, Texas.

Texas A&M Aggies

They have been entertaining their fans in Kyle Stadium for over a hundred years now! Since 1905 the team has had their share of good seasons, as well as some that were not so good. This season was kicked off on August 30th against Northwestern State and looks like it may be turning out to be one of their better seasons yet!

Kyle Stadium

Home of the Aggies since 1905, it began as a simple 400 x 400 foot grassy area that was donated by Texas A&M Dean of Agriculture and Athletic Council President, Edwin Jackson Kyle. Ground for the concrete stadium was broke May of 1927. Known as the Home of the 12th Man, today's Kyle Stadium has undergone several renovations with the latest full renovation being completed in 2014 and is now the 4th largest college stadium and the largest in both Texas and the SEC.

Did you know?

A treasured historic part of the grand stadium is the old press box. In its glory days, it housed the press with the voice reporters on the lower level and the written reporters on the upper level. Rumors are that during the traditional singing of the Aggie War Hymn, fans would link their arms together and sway in unison and as a result, the entire upper deck (including the press box) would swing. Rookie reporters on their maiden job covering the game would be a bit surprised and unnerved by the experience!
