The Theatre Company
The Theatre Company is the Brazos Valley's premier home of musical theater. It is housed in a former movie theater, and its mission is to provide community enrichment through both the production and educational components. Ticket prices are always reasonable, and the theatre features the only permanent revolving platforms in the state. Don't miss. The Threepenny Opera which will run June 15th through the 24th. It originated in the 1920s and has been revived on Broadway several times. The show features unforgettable music and tells the story of Mack and Polly who marry without her father's permission.
Since 1946, the StageCenter Theatre has presented dramas, comedies, musicals, and melodramas. It was the first community theater in Bryan/College Station and is the only such venue in the area run strictly by volunteers. The theatre was founded by an English professor, a lawyer, and a pathologist, and the first production was The Hollow Crown. From June 7th through 23rd, patrons can enjoy Last of the Boys which tells of two soldiers whose lives were changed forever.
Grand Stafford Theater
This attraction is located in a century-old building that boasts it has endured cultural and technical innovations, as well as few misfortunes. After housing a successful one-screen movie theater for years, the building closed its doors in 1983. After an extensive renovation in the mid-1990s, it became home to the Grand Stafford Theater. Throughout the year, guests can enjoy a variety of musical acts, and past performers include Michelle Stockard and the Gin Blossoms.
